Major milestone for Facebook

Facebook is celebrating a major milestone: it now boasts more than 500 million users. Yes, 500 million. If it were a country, it would be one of the largest in the world.
The social networking site has certainly made news in recent weeks: it may potentially earn over a billion dollars in revenue this year, founder Mark Zuckerberg supposedly signed a contract giving an ownership stake to a man who by all appearances was never involved with the site, and of course there are the privacy concerns.
Still, people continue to join Facebook en masse, to the tune of 500 million and counting, and the site shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.
