Twitter bans third-party ads

Third-party providers who want to insert paid ads into peoples' tweets simply won't be able to do so for much longer. Owing to an upgrade to Twitter's API, and the terms, only Twitter's Promoted Tweets will be allowed to be inserted into peoples' timelines. A historic day

Today, April 23, is a historic day, at least if you're a YouTube user. It was on this day in 2005 that the very first video was uploaded to the site, a video called "Me At the Zoo," which has gotten close to 2 million hits. Twitter seems to be doing something nearly every week to capture new tweeters, and retain their current ones. Today, Twitter unveiled a completely new homepage, which is streaming with activity.
